After dark

ISO 200, 24mm, f/8.0, 30 min.

Day 667 This is the last image I took at Trillium Lake two weeks ago. It was complete darkness. I really didn’t any idea what to do, so I set the timer on my iPhone for 30 minutes.

30 minutes is a really long time when you are sitting on a dock in the dark by yourself. Fortunately Karen wandered down about 15 minutes into the exposure.

For the first time in my life I saw the milky way over my head and just out of the picture the big dipper reflected in the lake.

This was probably one of my coolest experiences ever.
