Who will be the lucky one?

Wishbone

Wishbone

I remember making wishes when I was a young girl from the funny bone my mom always saved from the turkey. Once the turkey was carved, the wishbone was carefully placed on the windowsill to dry. She’d grab one side, I’d grab the other and we’d both make a wish and pull the wishbone apart. The wish was supposed to come true for whomever got the longest side in the break.

I don’t remember any of my wishes, but judging from the charmed life I live now, most of mine must have come true.

Just last week I saw the new dogs for Second Chance Salem appear on Facebook. I was wishing’ and hoping’ that they would make their way to my little rustic studio and tonight they came over.

I love having so many adorable faces before my lens. There are going to be some really lucky families in the next month or so as they meet the treasures through Second Chance Salem.

Wishbone is ready for his lucky break.
