Celebrating Sadie

Sadie and Megan

Sadie and Megan

They were soul mates. Sadie was her heart dog, Megan was her Momma Bear.

They were best friends. BEST friends. Through thick and thin they got each other through everything.

Sadie was a little dog with a big personality. She had no problems telling everyone how things were going to be and people listened. What Sadie wanted, Sadie got.

When Megan would leave the room, Sadie watched with a keen eye, waiting, waiting for Megan to return.

Sadie and Caleb

Sadie and Caleb

Sadie was barely a year old when Caleb came to join her. For nearly 13 years they shared Megan, they shared love and laughter and tears. When Megan went off to college, Sadie and her buddy Caleb lived with a friend. He loved Sadie and Caleb a little too much and they gained a lot of weight. Before Megan could finish college, the friend passed away and Megan took the chubby little Italian greyhounds back to school with her. Through diet and exercise, Megan worked off all of the extra weight so that the little Italian greyhounds were once again petite.

Sadie gave her paw print of approval to the young men that Megan dated and comforted her through all of the heart breaks. For Ryan, she gave two paws up and never let him get away. She even got a little girl, Olivia, that was her special bonus.

Sadie loved life and she loved everyone that came into her life. She was all joy. At nearly 14 years old, her little body had enough of seizures and arthritis. She was bright and happy and worn out.

Megan and I shared many tears as she prepared to say good bye to her best friend, her soul mate, her Sadie Bug.

We all miss you little girlfriend. You were an awesome little girl.
