Bark for Life honors canine caregivers while at the same time fundraising for the American Cancer Society.
Nearly every one around us is affected by cancer in one way or another. For us, it’s canine cancer. Last year two of our greyhounds were diagnosed with cancer and just last week, our grand dog Emma was diagnosed with lymphoma. Somewhere there has to be a cure.
They estimate that 10,450 children will be diagnosed with cancer in 2014, and 1,350 children will die. These stats are just for kids between the ages of 0 and 14, it doesn’t include the older kids, it doesn’t include adults and it doesn’t include our pets.
This years Bark for Life event will be held at Keizer Rapids Park from noon to 4 pm, Sunday, June 22. Registration begins at 11 am.
All proceeds from the photos will be donated to Bark for Life. We hope to see you there.
Emma weimaraner, this one’s for you honey girl.
