I kicked off my two week winter break with a greyt start today. I had originally scheduled to go up to Portland to the Oregon Greyhound Adoption kennel for Saturday, but we have some classic atmospheric river type precipitation predicted for the weekend and photographing the adoptable greyhounds in the rain is not much fun. So I did what every good employee does and I exited stage left at noon so that I could head up to the kennels.
The new dogs are stunning. Some are a little shy, but they all loved the extra attention on a Friday afternoon.
This handsome boy is Tiger. His red brindle coat was stunning in the setting sun.
He’s three and half years old and very ready for a family to call his own.
I think he would make a lovely edition to our pack, and then there was this little girl named Waffle, or Jerry Jr. or Beau.
Yep, if it were up to me, they would all make wonderful editions to our pack.
I hope to have all of the new dogs on website at Oregon Greyhound Adoption in the next day or two. If you are thinking you would like a greyhound, check back. We have some real beauties.
