A portrait of Indy

Portrait of Indy

When I met Indy at the Marion County Dog Shelter last Saturday doing the adoption photos, there was just something really special about him.

Indy and I spent a little quality time tonight doing a digital painting. I would love nothing more than to see this guy find the best forever home. It’s tough sometimes for a 10 year old dog to find his home, but they make the best companions and I have no doubt that Indy will be perfect.

I have visions of Indy curled up in front the fireplace, snuggled up on the couch after a walk in the park. In theory, a senior dog should only take up a little room in your heart, but the reality is, they move in really quick and take over.

We have adopted many senior greyhounds over the years and they have always been the best dogs ever. The biggest fear people express is that they are afraid that a senior dog won’t be around for very long. But it’s merely a myth. They have a lifetime of love to give.

If you have some room in your heart, please go meet Indy at the Marion County Dog Shelter. He is an amazing boy.

Here is the original photo I started with.
