But from afar, I have admired his black beauty and known him as Knight. When we ventured off on our road trip, we had a mission. A side trip was to photograph some really beautiful borzoi. Aside from the puppies of the litter, Knight is the baby, he’s 19 months old and a bundle of pure joy.
Knight had no problem showing off his athleticism. He is solid muscle and fur.
I don’t know that he had a favorite toy, as long as it flew through the air, he seemed to love that one best.
Just call him twinkle toes.
Throw after throw, he brought the toys back to go after them again.
It was a thrill to visit the pool that Knight trains to be a dock diver. Clearly all of the fetch he does in the yard trains him well to perform and compete in dock diving.
And because he is a big dog, his splashes are so impressive.
It was fun to watch him practice.
Of course, the location of the dock diving was amazing. The pool was beautiful. Who wouldn’t want to jump in and go for a swim.
He was so graceful, he nearly walked on water.
He knew what his job was and every time, he swam back with his prize.
His reward for all of his hard work was a double cheeseburger and a game of tug-o-war.
Who could possibly say no to this face? I’m still smitten.
And at the end of the day, this guy was just a silly, happy puppy.
