At the end of the day

Weimaraners and Santa Paws

Holidays have a way of bringing people together in the most wonderful ways. But over and over I see it with dog breeds. I’ve been to pug gatherings, greyhound gatherings, great dane parties and yesterday… the weimaraners came to play.

Strangers became friends when they braved the torrential rains of the Pacific Northwest to bring their weimaraners to see Santa Paws.

Tucked away in the far eastern corner of Oregon, a weimaraner breeder fearlessly pushes out a blog everyday featuring stories of pups they have lovingly placed in homes for decades. We found Owyheestar Weimaraners when my youngest daughter lost her beloved heart dog Emma. She wanted another weimie, someone like Emma, but she wanted a long-haired weimaraner.

Trying desperately not to meddle, yet help Holly’s broken heart and with the help of Google, we found Owyheestar.

I can’t think of a better way to end our whirlwind tour with Santa Paws.

So many thanks go out to everyone that came out this year for a photo with Santa Paws. We had the most wonderful time this year. So much laughter, so much joy.

Santa Paws, you rock my world. I can hardly for our next holiday season together. Holly, you are my rock, you keep me in line and keep me on time. To the stores that host us, Nature’s Pet Salem, Pet Etc. Salem, and Nature’s Pet Market Wilsonville… wow, you all have the best customers. Without your help in letting people know we’re going to be there, we wouldn’t have so much fun. And last but not least, Karen. You are the glue that hold’s me together when I come home and have long hours of post-processing and preparing photos to go right back out.

I am truly humbled and so appreciative of everyone that puts a smile on my face every day of the year.
