Pete

The night that Pete came home after the amputation, I pulled out a couple of Costco cushions and slept on the floor beside him.

I will never forget the night we sad good bye to our Danny Bleu and somehow Pete understood my sadness and crawled into bed beside me. He brought comfort to my crumbled world and has spent every night with me since then.

I knew that jumping up on the bed with a freshly amputated leg wasn’t a good idea, so I stretched out beside him on the floor and four weeks later I am still there with him.

We are so appreciative of everything, the donations, the good thoughts and the best medical care possible. All of this is giving Pete a real chance.

Thank you.
