584 – Moonlit bay

ISO 200, 32mm, f/16, 30.0 sec

Going out to the coast in the summer can be a total crap shoot. We’ve gone out when the weather is spectacular in the valley and get 5 miles inland and have fog so thick that you can’t see your hand in front of your face. Or worse, the wind is blowing so hard that even the fastest shutter speed can’t detour camera shake.

Friday night was kismet. It was amazing. I have never seen Newport Bay so calm and with the skies so clear.

I must confess, I am directionally challenged. My iPhone has all of the sun and moon apps, but they don’t compute in my head, so to have a full moon, over the bridge at twilight. Wow.

That coastal fog can definitely put a damper on project365! I’ve been here all summer, but it does make for some cool photo ops sometime. Especially early morning fog. I love this moon photo, I’ve been obsessed with the moon lately! Awesome shot. I like the new website too!ReplyCancel
