Dear cancer

I know you and I have had this dance so many times before. But why Joey? You look at me, rolling your eyes, glaring back and asking why not? I want to cry, I want to scream, I want to throw things. We’ve had enough. It’s never fair, you pick the best dogs and why oh why...

So unfair. I am so sorry. This disease is so cruel. Love to you and your babies and may you enjoy every moment with him. He couldn’t be in any better home.ReplyCancel

Oh darling! I can relate. My boy had cancer 8 months ago he lost his leg and was doing well for a few months. He was a big boy and his other leg and hip couldn’t stand the pressure. I lost him to the big dog park in the sky a few weeks ago. It’s still raw, I miss him.ReplyCancel

Such a beautiful guy, my heart breaks for him and you. Certainly not fair for such a sweet gentle creature to have this awful disease. Prayers!ReplyCancel

I’ll take two please

I kicked off my two week winter break with a greyt start today. I had originally scheduled to go up to Portland to the Oregon Greyhound Adoption kennel for Saturday, but we have some classic atmospheric river type precipitation predicted for the weekend and photographing the adoptable greyhounds in the rain is not much fun....

It has been a great week and I have been so productive, but wow, I’m ready for the weekend.

      A fundraiser for the greyhounds

This is the third year that the Oregon Greyhound Adoption has graciously invited me back to help with their photo fundraiser. I’m sure it helps that greyhounds are the loves of my life. I love meeting all of the greyhounds. Some of them I photographed when they were in the adoption kennel and there is...

        Look at you now girlfriend

When I first met the that pretty little white and brindle girl, she had just finished her surgery for a broken hock. She was sweet and friendly and almost ready for her forever family.  Her name was Uno and our small, but loving adoption group was raising funds like crazy to pay for her original surgery...
