Under mother’s skirt

Day 695 From the forest floor. The mushroom took asylum beneath the leaf and the slug sought refuge under the mushroom. Hmmm, wonder what is hiding under the slug?

Ruffles

Day 689 This looks like something from an underwater coral reef. However, it is just another fungus growing on the side of a fallen tree. I wish I had paid a little closer attention when I was shooting it, all of the layers are so intricate. It was a significantly large fungus.

    Day 687 It never occurred to me that there is a mushroom season. On every hike we take these days, mushrooms are plentiful. These guys took up residence on a stump in Silver Falls State Park.

      Day 685 – This is the North Fork Silver Creek. just below the Upper North Falls. We’ve gotten a lot of rain and creek was high. It made for great action as the creek made it’s way to the next waterfall.
