An apple a day

Day 696 Timber thought he wanted an apple. The reality… he wanted to shred it and leave itsy bitsy pieces all over the place. Gotta love that dog.

And they call it puppy love

Timber Day 692 Having a puppy in the house is so different. While we sat and had our coffee after work tonight, Timber was at us to play tug-o’-war and chew toy. The kitchen, or rather the borzoi kennel isn’t quite big enough to do too much playing. He laid down and looked… well a...

Borzoi, do have many looks they can give you! The pitiful look is one of their best, he`s trying to butter yall up!! They also get their feelings hurt very easy! Just learn his ear movements, that will tell yall everything!ReplyCancel

Given how gorgeous he is today, I can’t imagine how stunning he’s going to look in a few years!

Meeting Timber

Today we took a field trip out to Estacada and had the pleasure of meeting Timber. A member of the sight hound group, perhaps even a distant cousin of the greyhound, Timber is a borzoi.   A greyhound in a fluffy coat racing with the wind. Timber is a giant one-year old puppy. He’s playful...

I’m with you – simply gorgeous boy. My favorite breed as a kid was the Borzoi – such grace, and that fur… (sigh)ReplyCancel

Love the action shots! I can only imagine how fast he was running. I’m sure my little Doxie would have fun running with him despite her short legs!ReplyCancel

OMG, he is sooo BEAUITFUL!! He really looks just like his momma Joplin!! The pic are wonderful! That head shot, i would love to have a copy PLEASE??ReplyCancel

  • kim wessingerNovember 28, 2011 - 1:49 pm

Hey yall, i just thought you might want alittle background information on Timber. His momma is mine, her name is Joplin. His daddy is owned by Lois Spires, his name is Aidan(sounds like A-don) Aidan is a finished champion in the show ring as well as field trials and coursing. Timber`s grandparents are as well. He comes from a very long line of well rounded dogs, temperment being the upmost importance! Borzoi`s love everyone they meet! They know no strangers! To me, they are the best breed you could pick!ReplyCancel
