Afraid of his shadow, of people, of fast movements. He was a toddler when we adopted him, deep in the heart of the terrible twos. Somedays, we chased him around the backyard for 45 minutes just to get him to come in the house. Yup, he was going through the terrible twos.
Joey is our guy, our greyhound. He was an extreme case of shy. It took us four years before he ever came up for us to scratch his ears. When we finally earned his trust, he became a loyal and loving greyhound. He is worth all of the patience and compassion that we had to muster up.
Little Kahlua is a little shy, nothing like our Joey. She is waiting for the perfect family that will give her a little compassion and some patience. Once she knows she’s safe, she will be a loyal and faithful companion for life.
She’s a medium sized four-year old terrier mix.
Kahlua is currently waiting for her forever family at the Marion County Dog Shelter.
