I’m sitting here in Tacoma, Washington for a conference. A few weeks ago when my boss asked if I would like to go, I barely scanned the agenda before my mind was whisked away by the thought of new turf to photograph. We arrived in town just in time for me to run off and find a place that I had a fairly clear shot of the suspension bridge that spans across the Tacoma Narrows Straight of the Puget Sound.
When I lived here nearly 20 years ago, there was only one bridge across the straight, now there is a pair.
I didn’t find the view I was hoping for (I’m geographically challenged even with gps units, but I was happy to find a dock at Titlow park that would allow me to at least see part of it.
Oh how I miss the Puget Sound.
