Years ago, my heart dog Buddy, a retired racing greyhound, was diagnosed with a serious illness. I knew time was suddenly precious. What I wanted most was simple and lasting: a beautiful portrait of him on my wall. Something I could see every day. Something that would outlive the moment.
That photograph became the beginning of my work as a pet photographer.
Today, I specialize in creating portraits for dogs and cats exactly as they are. Shy. Sensitive. Curious. Opinionated. Even a little unruly. Especially those ones. I work slowly, patiently, and with deep respect for each animal’s comfort and boundaries. No rush. No forcing. No expectations they didn’t agree to.
Safety is always my first priority. My studio is a fully fenced acre of gardens designed specifically for pets, paired with a calm indoor studio space and professional lighting. For location sessions where leashes are required, I handle that seamlessly in post-processing so the final artwork feels natural and uncluttered.
What I do best is see animals for who they are, and translate that into artwork that feels honest, soulful, and enduring.
What I love most is knowing those portraits don’t end up forgotten on a hard drive, but live on walls, in albums, and in the quiet moments of everyday life.
This work isn’t about trends.
It’s about legacy.
And it’s an honor to create it for you.
If your pet is shy, senior, reactive, or simply one of a kind, you’re in exactly the right place.
