Pooch Playoffs is an event created by a national group of boutique photographers that takes place around the time of March Madness.
Each photographer chose a charity, rounded up sponsors and began photographing pooches for the bracket style voting to commence in March.
I wanted a charity that helped our entire community and after asking a few questions and doing a little research I selected Born Again Pit Bull Rescue.
What I received was a community that has been wonderful to work with. I learned that there are so many moving parts within the animal rescue community as they all work together for the common good.
It's true, BAPBR has been adopting pit-bull-type dogs to loving homes for over ten years, but there is so much more.
Woodscreek Rescue has helped resource donated food for the Full Bellies Fund. Full Bellies provides high-quality food to dogs in low-income and homeless families.
Little Critters Rescue donated wheels to Checo, one of BAPBR Mexi-Mutt dogs that lost the use of his hind legs.
It has been both an honor and a pleasure to photograph the 16 dogs that will be taking part in Pooch Playoffs.
